How to Edit a PDF on Android for Free

Have you ever tried editing a PDF file on your Android phone? If yes, you know the pain of trying to edit one as there is no native solution on Android to do it. But don’t worry, as we are going to show you two methods to edit a PDF on Android for free.

But doesn’t it make you wonder that in an era where smartphones have taken over almost everything, why does editing a PDF still remains an uphill task? We went to the root of this question, to find the answer for you.

Why Is It So Difficult to Edit a PDF on Android
You see, the full form of PDF is Portable Document Format. As the name suggests, this file format was invented by Adobe in 1993 with a focus on portability. The primary aim of PDFs was to create a file that will load without changing the document’s format on any device, regardless of the system it is being opened on, unlike Word documents which go haywire when shared between two systems.

PDFs were never meant to be a file type that can be edited. It was considered to be a final copy of a document, which could be shared anywhere and viewed easily. So, you don’t have to blame your Android phone here, as the file format in itself is tricky to edit.

Enough history of PDFs, let’s jump into editing them on your phone.
